Responsiveness and Minimal Clinically Important Difference of the Five Times Sit-to-Stand Test in Patients with Stroke

چکیده

This study aimed to analyze the responsiveness of 5STS test among stroke patients and estimate MCIDs (minimal clinically important differences) for different severity levels community ambulation stages recovery. The comparator instruments (gait speed Functional Ambulatory Category (FAC)) were evaluated at baseline. These measures repeated 4 (Stage 1) 8 weeks 2), together with Global Rating Change (GROC). calculated two anchor-based methods using GROC as external criterion. Responsiveness change was estimated analyzing correlation changes in their capacity discriminate improvement. For test, while limited ambulators similar (around 3 s), those household decreased from 1.9 s 0.72 s. Spearman’s rho coefficients showed an acceptable between both FAC gait Our revealed that is responsive functional degree stage recovery influence MCID values 5STS.

Responsiveness and minimal clinically important difference for pain and disability instruments in low back pain patients

BACKGROUND The choice of an evaluative instrument has been hampered by the lack of head-to-head comparisons of responsiveness and the minimal clinically important difference (MCID) in subpopulations of low back pain (LBP). The objective of this study was to concurrently compare responsiveness and MCID for commonly used pain scales and functional instruments in four subpopulations of LBP patient...

Falls classification using tri-axial accelerometers during the five-times-sit-to-stand test.

The five-times-sit-to-stand test (FTSS) is an established assessment of lower limb strength, balance dysfunction and falls risk. Clinically, the time taken to complete the task is recorded with longer times indicating increased falls risk. Quantifying the movement using tri-axial accelerometers may provide a more objective and potentially more accurate falls risk estimate. 39 older adults, 19 w...
